Biological Sciences PhD Shadowing Webinar

Join our live webinar on what is it like to do PhD research!

Have you enjoyed studying Biology or Chemistry at school? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work in scientific research?

Join us on Friday 9th July at 10am BST to find out what it is like to do PhD research.

In the School of Biological Sciences we usually run a summer PhD shadowing day to give Year 12 students an idea of what it’s like to work as a PhD student in a real research lab. We can’t run an actual PhD shadowing day this year, but we would still like to invite you to a ‘virtual’ morning in our labs with our talented PhD students.

If you are in Year 12 and have enjoyed Biological Sciences at school, please come and join us to find out what it’s like to be a young researcher starting out in your career. Our PhD students will give a brief talk on their research area, why they chose to do a PhD and what it’s like to work in research, followed by some time for questions. We will also show a virtual tour of our labs.

We look forward to your participation!
