There’s been a Heist at the Hospital! Help us find out ‘whodunnit’ by working through a series of engaging, interactive forensics activities that bring Science to life!
These activities and web pages will support your teaching around the topic of forensics, and help you to run a science-filled Hospital Heist day to get your students excited about forensics, science, and careers in STEMM.
These materials, aimed at supporting the KS3 Science curriculum, have been developed by a local teacher from Hounsdown School, Gemma Hortop, and Dave Johnston from the University of Southampton’s Biomedical Imaging Unit. Hospital Heist activity days have been run successfully at many schools in Southampton, and have shown particularly effective at engaging those previously disengaged with Science.
As well as all the materials to run an exciting activity day, the lesson plans can be delivered in class over a number of days instead – and all materials have been adapted for remote teaching and learning.
Plus students can engage immediately with the online interactive activities in the ‘For Students’ section!
