LJMU Careers in Construction Event
Liverpool John Moores University invites you to explore careers in the construction sector and the benefits of the apprenticeship pathway as a viable route into further and higher education in the Liverpool City Region at our webinar.
The construction sector has contributed £25 billion Gross Value Added to the Liverpool City Region over the last 20 years and is vital to delivering the infrastructure and buildings required for future growth.
Over 47,000 people currently work in construction in the LCR but the current workforce is smaller than the future demand for skills. The LCR Combined Authority acknowledges and prioritises the importance of developing the skills in its community required by the construction sector.
Our expert panel of speakers will discuss the skills landscape for construction in the LCR, career options available in professional construction, the opportunities to transition to degree level and professional body chartership, and funding opportunities available. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions to our panel.
This is a panel discussion and Q&A aimed at careers advisors, teachers and subject specialists.
This is supported by LJMUs construction skills escalator project. A resource designed to support the transition of learners into professional careers in the construction sector.
