Explore the University of Reading’s museums and exhibitions online
The University of Reading began its collecting over a century ago and the collections have been used to support the work of the College and later the University. The collections extend from rare books and unique archives to artworks, ephemera and objects, as well as samples for zoologists, botanists, and geologists.
Over time, the University’s subject-specific museums and collections have grown in order to meet the needs of world-class teaching and authoritative research.
Through our online portal you can now engage with the collections from the comfort of your own home. Use them to inform your own research, add value to coursework or to expand your knowledge of a new topic. You can take a virtual tour around the Cole Museum of Zoology, the Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology or the Museum of English Rural Life.
