Higher Horizons
Higher Horizons is a partnership of universities and colleges working together to enable aspirations in Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire. Our teams, based across Keele, Staffordshire, Cheshire and Harper Adams Universities, work with young people to create pathways through further and higher education and into employment. We are funded by the Office for Students as part of the Uni Connect programme, to work in areas with low rates of progression to higher education.
Since our launch in 2017, the team have seen over 100,000 interactions with young people. UCAS data shows that young people who engage in our programme are 2.5 times more likely to progress to university than their peers.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic Higher Horizons has moved a lot of our activities online, with a host of new and engaging digital resources to help young people make informed choices about their educational progression.

Our Activities
For over 50 interactive and engaging information, advice and guidance activities please visit higherhorizons.co.uk/resources

Information, Advice and Guidance
We have produced a number of resources which aim to give young people information, advice and guidance about their educational journey. These include videos, PDF workbooks, tasks to work through, quizzes to test their knowledge and more.

Curriculum Support
We have produced a number of fun, free, and engaging project packs for young people to work through at home or in school linked to different curriculum subjects.

Study Skills and Wellbeing
We know young people have been facing an unprecedented situation while schools have been closed. So we have created resources to help young people look after themselves, stay healthy, and keep up their learning while they’re out of school.
We hope we can get back to engaging with schools and colleges face-to-face soon, welcoming young people on to our campuses and visiting them in school.
Until then, we’ll see you online.
